Wow !! What can I say.. Massive Thank you to Jake, Jacob and team (we love you guys).
Jacob and Jake have been looking after a little Boy with ASD who is also Nonverbal for a while now. After we was poorly treated via another salon who didn't understand ASD and couldn't handle a child crying, screaming, kicking off.
Its been a real struggle getting his hair cut.
For anyone that understands our magical children with ASD really are scared of getting their hair cut its a sensory overload to them.
Over the past weeks and months Jake has been so calm and patient with Kai from turning down the music ,allowing the cut to be done in his disabled biggie ,and even stopping the hair dryers from going off ,oh and not to mention talking to the child like a real person (nonverbal children can still hear) though out the hair cut Jake gives reassurance to Kai and myself and has even learnt some simple sign language to communicate with Kai.
Today's hair cut proved that everything the team at Jacobs barbers have put in really did pay off today!
we managed a full cut with no tears and I didn't have to say sorry to other clients! I'm also reminded all the time as Kai's Adult to stop saying sorry via the team. They get it !
It's service like this that make myself and Kai so grateful for amazing Barbers who are amazing people that go above and beyond xx
